On the 3 and 4 June 2015 the Healthcare Infection Society (HIS) are holding their first Middle East Infection Prevention Summit in Dubai. The aim of the summit is to unite colleagues across the globe in driving down infection rates and improving infection control practice. An excellent two-day scientific programme will present some of the challenges faced in managing respiratory infections and provide an opportunity to discuss the problems encountered in combating healthcare associated infection.  It will also present a range of detection and prevention strategies to help and control infectious disease.

 

Scientific Programme Highlights

There will be a series of lectures given under these four key themes:

1.       Emerging Infections—What Lessons can be Learnt?

2.       Practical Issues in Infection Prevention and Control

3.       The Challenge of Gram—Negatives

4.       Surgical Site Infection

 

In addition there will be workshops on:

·         Infection Control Challenges in Liver Transplant
