投稿標題(英): Analysis of long-term care workers’ risk perception and risk strategy for tuberculosis infection

投稿摘要: The main purpose of this research is to explore influences on long-term care workers’ risk perception at work. The empirical data was surveyed from 106 long-term care workers , by six category of research object: personal characteristics, workplace type, and medical care, medical habits and health status, attitudes toward the disease, behaviors for disease prevention, knowledge and cognition of tuberculosis. This research has applied narrative statistical analysis and Tobit regression analysis to estimate the statistical significance of risk perception factors. The empirical analysis results shows: (1)The personal characteristics of long-term care workers indicate higher education level is significantly positively correlated with workers' risk perception, and the higher the risk perception of tuberculosis infection at work. ;(2)Long-term care workers in elderly welfare institutions and disabled institutions have a higher perception of the risk of tuberculosis infection at work. ;(3)In terms of medical habits and health status of long-term care workers, relatives and friends who have suffered from tuberculosis, along with long-term care workers who have chronic diseases themselves are more aware of the risk of tuberculosis at work. ;(4)Have a high awareness of disease attitudes would keep a distance from tuberculosis patients under treatment, and require tuberculosis patients to wear masks, but will not reject them from eating at the same table with patients during treatment..;(5) Have a high awareness of disease attitudes would work on in terms of disease prevention behaviors in daily life they will maintain a relatively regular daily routine, keep a higher willingness to participate in health-related lectures. ;(6)The higher aware of the risk perception, the more accurate disease awareness and a full understanding of tuberculosis-related epidemic prevention measures.
